The state continued to reel from heavy rain for the third consecutive day on Wednesday with landslides, cave-ins and bridge collapse being reported from several places. Rivers continued to swell, large tracts of agricultural land were inundated while rainwater gushed into villages and towns in many districts bringing life to a standstill. Road connectivity and vehicular movement were disrupted in some places because of cave-ins.
