Puri lawyers are protesting the planned relocation of the district court to Talabania, citing the illegality of construction in a sweet water zone and the historical significance of the 160-year-old existing building. The Puri Bar Association has sought Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi’s intervention, with support from MP Sambit Patra and MLA Sunil Mohanty.
