Odisha plans to expand maritime infrastructure by constructing two new seaports in Balasore and Ganjam districts. In collaboration with PSA Singapore, the state aims to enhance port cargo capacity to over 500 million tonnes by 2030. A shipyard facility and significant investments in industrial projects, including a Rs 6000 crore steel plant near Dhamra port, are also planned.
