Odisha: Single-day spike in third Covid wave much less than projected

The infection count of 11,607 at the peak of the third wave on January 19 was far less than the single-day highest spike of 12,852 cases in the second wave on May 22 last year. This was contrary to the government’s projection of more than 20,000 cases in a day at its worst in the current wave.
