Parents on Tuesday staged protest and lodged complaints with the police and the Odisha State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (OSCPCR) against authorities of a private school at Ghatikia area in Bhubaneswar for allegedly locking up 34 students in the library for non-payment of fees. The parents claimed the school action has caused serious mental stress and humiliation for students and demanded action against the authorities. The incident took place on Monday when after the exam, the teachers asked 34 students from different classes to come to the library and kept them there for five hours.
