Khurda district on Wednesday moved to the ‘red zone’ with more than 2,500 active cases, after nearly a month of being in the ‘yellow’ spot (active cases between 1,000 and 2,500). The last time the district, which includes the state capital, was in the danger zone was on September 18 when it had 2,534 active cases. According to the health department dashboard, the cumulative active cases on Wednesday touched the 2,535-mark.
