Odisha has announced a monthly pension of Rs 20,000 for individuals imprisoned during the 1975 Emergency, effective from January 1. The government will also cover all medical expenses for the detainees, who need to apply for these benefits. Those involved in anti-national or criminal activities will be disqualified.
