Chief minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday told the assembly that the overall law and order situation in the state was peaceful. Replying via virtual mode during a demand discussion of the home department in the assembly, the chief minister said the state has been relatively free from any form of communal discord. “Elections to panchayati raj institutions, urban local bodies and different co-operative societies were conducted peacefully,” Naveen said.
