DNA report confirms body found in pit was Mamita Meher’s

The DNA report on Monday confirmed that the pieces of bones retrieved from the pit were that of Mamita Meher, former principal of Sunshine English Medium School in Kalahandi, who was killed and then the body was set on fire before it was buried to destroy evidence. The body parts matched the blood samples of her parents.
