BJD youth wing’s vice-president, Soumya Sankar Chakra, has been arrested in connection with a multi-crore mineral transport fraud involving significant financial irregularities in Gandhamardan Loading Agency and Transporting Cooperative Society Limited. Investigations revealed misappropriated funds of over Rs 185 crores from 2017 to 2024.
