There is a Berhampur festival called the Gopalpur Beach Festival that is kicking off this Saturday. The Berhampur Police have warned people not to fall prey to fake ticket rackets that are operating online. This is in response to an 18-year-old man being detained earlier this week for allegedly selling fake passes online. However, he was released after police came to know that he was of unsound mind and did not have any tickets on him. The man and his family have been questioned, their house has been searched, and no incriminating material has been found. Police say that the man is from Jail Road in Lanjipalli here, and they have arrested him from his uncle’s house in Gopalpur. Police came to know that an unknown person had created an ID on OLX and posted that VIP passes of the festival were available for sale. They used the sister’s phone to create the ID.
